YAMAHA : YDX-MORO PRO

The YDX-MORO Pro is an all-mountain power assist bicycle. It utilizes Yamaha’s patent-pending Dual Twin™ frame, designed in perfect alignment with their powerful new PW-X2 drive unit, to offer riders a never-felt-before level of rider control and balance. The YDX-MORO Pro features an enhance component package to meet the demands of the most experienced mountain bike riders.

At center-stage is a Shimano XT 11-speed drivetrain connected to Yamaha’s compact, center-mounted PW-X2 motor. The PW-X2 offers five levels of Power Assist, and for the first time, an AUTOMATIC and a push assist mode.  The PW-X2 offers an increased max cadence support of 170rpm, and a max speed support of 20mph, to assist you through every situation with a smooth, natural feeling ride. The drive is integrated into Yamaha’s Dual Twin™ frame and RockShox YARI RC Boost 160mm front fork. Additionally, all cables are routed through the frame for better protection from the elements, this includes the routing for the integrated dropper post. The battery is protected by the bottom cage of the Dual Twin™ frame, further protected by a subframe battery jacket. When fine-tuning the different sizes offered, the unique stack and reach dimensions were created to maintain the advantages of low center of gravity and an always-active suspension of the YDX-MORO Pro through the lineup. Stopping is handled by a powerful, reliable Magura MT30 hydraulic disc brake system both front and rear.

The Quad Sensor System, with integrated speed sensor as part of the rear hub assembly, is another industry leading innovation found on the YDX-MORO Pro. This system is constantly taking readings of pedaling power, the bike’s rolling speed, rpms of the pedals, and bike angle to better anticipate in realtime the adjustments needed to Power Assist levels to ensure a seamless, natural feeling ride through the duration of your trip. With the Quad Sensor System, the YDX-MORO Pro offers an Auto support mode, which cycles between ECO, STD, and HIGH modes. All this is handled behind the scenes, so you can pay attention to the trail ahead.

The tough, ergonomic interface of the Multi-Function Meter displays all the stats you need, such as speeds, battery life, and time, and has an integrated multi-color LED indicator to allow you to see what Power Assist level you are engaged in at a glance. The computer is controlled with a conveniently placed ergonomic control switch that can be easily operated with riding gloves.

The YDX-MORO Pro is one of the lightest bikes in its category, only 53.1lbs, and does not make any compromises in quality or features to get there.
